ASTM Product Performance, the National Federation of High Schools, (NFHS) and the ForceField FFTM Headband – Protective Headgear for Soccer
Tests were performed on the ForceField FFTM Headband in accordance to ASTM F 2439-06 and the ForceField FFTM Headband exceeded the test requirements. The ForceField FFTM Headband is now listed on the NFHS web site for soccer and is allowable under NFHS rules as long as the product is in its original configuration and has not been modified. Soccer headgear is permitted under NFHS rules but not required.
The ASTM standard was designed to address head-to-head injuries, head-to-hard surface and head-to-post. There is no headgear in the world that will eliminate head injuries including concussions. The ForceField FFTM Headband was designed to reduce the risk of head injuries in all of those areas. In addition, the headband also reduces the impact force over 50% when heading a soccer ball.
Dr. Abraham has been a member of the ASTM from 1964 to the present time. He has tested protective helmets and equipment for every sport and recreational activity.
